A 1950s Glenmoor-era original and a newer east side build need two very different systems, and Fremont has plenty of both. We size and install the whole system for the house in front of us, not the last one we did.
We install across Fremont, Mission San Jose, Centerville, Niles, Warm Springs, and Ardenwood included: furnace, AC, heat pump, or mini-split. Every job gets a Manual J load calculation, a pulled permit, and a written proposal before a single part goes on order.
Fremont grew out of five older towns, so system ages jump block to block, from 1950s and 60s Glenmoor-era tracts on original equipment to newer construction. We do whole-system replacements and heat pump conversions across all of it.
Because Fremont system ages jump block to block, we start with a load calc, then show where a heat pump fits: one electric system for heating and cooling, plus BayREN, PG and E, and BAAQMD rebates a gas-and-AC pair cannot claim. Eligibility goes on the quote.
You get a line-item proposal covering equipment, labor, permit, and disposal before anything is ordered. We pull the permit, handle the city inspection, and map any rebate you qualify for, so the price you approve is the price you pay.
If the furnace and AC are both old, yes, matching them as a system is usually the better spend. We quote both paths.
Yes. Older homes sometimes need duct or panel work, spelled out in the proposal with the rebates. See heat pump installation.
